03 March 2013

It's already March!

It's 3rd March 2013 today. Part of me wished I would've given birth to my baby by now (considering the nice date) but I have a gut feeling she might be a tad late than her EDD. By now, I am not really sure which is my EDD exactly. If following my LMP, my EDD is supposed to be 9th March but the doc suggested I follow the fetal scan date which is 17th March 2013. If it's 17, might as well go pass 21st March so I can haz an Aries baby.

lolwtfbrain.

No updates on February? Why? *sigh* Was feeling really bad about myself throughout the whole month dealing with various stuff I rather not talk about because it''s menial and I think too much. Other than that, have been dealing with Shareese's flu and cough and mild fever. Plus, he's been very clingy lately. Almost like he's suffering from separation anxiety. =/   He can't notice that I am out of his sight. He will throw a fit.

"mama? MAMA? MAMAAA???!!!"

Other updates regarding myself:
  • Been having some cramps and intense pelvic pain lately. Inconsistent throbbing felt in the womb. I guess this is what they call Braxton Hicks contraction? Didn't manage to feel  Braxton Hicks during my first pregnancy. Just labor contractions during D-Day.
  • Back pain is getting worst. Could hardly sit up straight for a long period of time.
  • Super tired during the day. Extremely energetic (with trouble sleeping) during the night. O_O Thanx, haven't been able to go to work because of this.
  • Extremely cranky and getting more easily annoyed with stupid silly stuff.
  • 2-3 days of diorrhea, followed by a few days of constipation. wtfbody?
  • Craving for teh tarik... which made me gassy after consuming some. *ohgodwhy*
  • Did I mention I'm extremely tired and have trouble sleeping? T_T
Here's a picture of my dearest beloved son who is getting harder to put to nap during the day.

Safe to say it's a...

I have been pretty much agitated with my unborn baby's gender eversince *that* doctor told me I was to be expecting a boy (when the first doctor has already confirmed to me that it's gonna be a girl), so I went to get a 3D scan on 6th January. Well, the main reason for me to get (such unnecessary) 3D+4D scan was not mainly due to the reason to confirmed the gender entirely but since we did it for Shareese, we've promised ourselves that all our babies will have 3D+4D scans aswell just to be fair. I don't want one day when I show them their baby sonographic images and videos, the other siblings might ask "Eh mama, where's MINE?".
Nope.
Don't want that.

This time around, the sonographer seems like she's not able to get as much clear images of my second baby compared to the sonographer that did Shareese's back in 2010. Most of the images seems to be... blurry? Indistinguishable? And we couldn't get a proper image of the baby's face because my little one is covering the face with ALL of her hands and feet. Kinda like this position...

(sorry my drawing skills a little rusty)

They could only get the face as clear as this.

And.. dumdumdum~~ From the scan, it shows that the sonographer is 95% sure that the baby's gonna be a girl, based on this picture of the baby's genitalia. She said there's a clitoris and labia, means for sure it's a girl. Plus there's no scrotum. So hopefully... : )

Second baby's 3D gender scan

This was Shareese's genitalia scan. You can clearly see the birdy.

I CAN HAZ A PAIR OF BABIES~ ❤

Lol.. I'm pretty worked up over the gender. Hope she'll be born healthy and bubbly! From the 3D detailed scan, the sonographer said all the organs are developing well and there's no sign of cleft lip. Also, the baby's size is OK (not too big, not too small), amniotic fluid is sufficient, baby's position is good and ready to go (not breech), and her placenta is in posterior position (normal). No gross structural abnormalities noted.

Alhamdulillah.

Hoping all goes well with this pregnancy. 9 more weeks to go!

Of Disappointment and Expectations

I've been going for my antenatal checkup at Klinik Soraya section 3 out of recommendation from husband's supervisor/team leader. She said that the dcotors who are doing the check-ups are all female and very kind and helpful towards their patients. My first few visits there was pleasant, up till a point when two of their doctors decided to take a long leave for vacation, only to have just ONE available doctor. ONE. FRIGGIN ONE. My trips there used to only take about 30 ~ 45 minutes tops but lately I have to wait for TWO HOURS (sometimes THREEEEEEE) to just see a doctor for my urine test, blood pressure checkup and the usual ultrasound. Feck... It's worst than going to goverment clinic.

Today is my 28th week checkup. It's a different doctor from my last month checkup, and also different from my usual doctor who have done my first few ultrasounds and confirmed that I am going to have a baby girl. This doctor said my baby is a BOY. lolwhut? BOY? I asked if she was sure because previously the other doctor said my baby is a girl and that she didn't find any signs of neither a penis or a scrotum. She checked again, this time harder and longer. She said she found something "long" (ahahahaha...) and said it might be his penis. Looks like a boy. Hurr...?? I was.. feeling very disappointed because I really wished I am going to have a girl! A pair! She said she will check again next month just to confirm the gender. Yeah...... no.

I'm going for a 3D ultrasound in 2 weeks at Klinik Ajwa, section 7 as how I did for Shareese when I was pregnant with him during my 30th week. Hope to see a better and clearer and more comfirmed images of my baby's gender.

Boy? Or Girl?

; _ ;

Most of my friends says I shouldn't hope too much, as long as he/she is healthy, I should be thankful. Yes, of course but I can't help it. If I wasn't expecting a girl when the first doctor confirmed to me that it's going to be a girl, I wouldn't feel so devastated. *sigh*

Lucky I never bought any girly clothes yet.

Online Shopping Stash

So I was browsing through the web for an online shop that sells nursing wears (that can also be used during maternity period) and nursing bras. The bras I have currently aren't really that comfortable anymore (yay bigger boobies thanx to pregnancy hormones) and I don't think I should spend money buying just new bigger sized bras. I should invest on some good nursing bras. since I want to fully breastfeed my second child. I wasn't able to do that for Shareese due to several reasons. One of the main reason was because my milk supply isn't enough and my nipples were cracking like crazy. One time when I was nursing, blood was coming out from my nipples instead of milk. The nurses assured me that it was normal because breastmilk comes from blood anyways, and that my body wasn't able to convert the blood to breastmilk thus the reason blood was flowing out my milking duct instead. Scary.. (._.) Honestly I was traumatized and opt for formula milk instead, which till now, I think was a bad move. I read that once you've given formula to your baby and stopped/reduced pumping breastmilk for your baby, the milk won't produce as much as it should. I hope I won't do the same mistake again for my second one. I WANT TO FULLY BREASTFEED!!! >.< It's not easy, but I will give my best! No more feeling traumatized or scared or complaining or bitching about how hard it is. Huhuu..

( ; - ; )

Anyways, most of the online shops I found on the net gives me ridiculously high priced items. I don't fancy spending more than RM100 for a single piece of clothing… Urhm wait, more like I DON'T WANT to spend so much on clothes. I can't afford it no matter how they claim that their goods are of high quality. Plus, the designs aren't really that nice either (for me at least). After several minutes of browsing through, finally, I am so glad I bumped into Mammahouse.com, an online maternity/nursing and baby shop that gives affordable price for the stuff I need. Yays! It really is affordable and most importantly, very comfortable! Good enough for me. Doesn't need to be branded. I don't go for brands. I just go for price, and comfort, and looks nice enough to me. Yays cheapskate mom. XD

First time buying stuff there, I only bought two new maternity. Their service is very efficient and fast. I got my stuff delivered the next working day. (i ordered it on Saturday before noon, and got it on Monday but if I ordered it on Monday, for sure I'm gonna get it the next day!) It's a bit too big for me but it IS comfortable. Had to send the pants to be altered. The length is too much for me. (or my legs might be too short for average ahaha..haa… I'm 151cm by the way) I wouldn't recommend buying long pants here because you can get better designs of maternity pants at AEON (previously Jaya Jusco) for roughly the same price. Not sure about their short pants though.

Satisfied with the first purchase in October, I decided to buy more in November. Tried out their nursing bra. I bought this one.

Tried it out, VERY NICE. Much nicer than those I bought at AEON after I had Shareese. And the design is really cute too.  Gonna stock up more on the
nursing bras. :3 Love~

Here's some of the stash I bought. There's a yellow training pants for Shareese. I recommend that if you want to try and potty train your toddler. The lower part has thicker fabric on it so if your toddler "accidentally" piss, the damage won't be as much on the surface he sits on, but he will still feel soaked and uncomfortable and will (probably) won't want to pee in his pants again. XD

Stuff bought on November 2012 from mammahouse <3

So yeah, if you're planning to buy some affordable maternity/nursing wear, do check out Mammahouse. Recommended by a cheapskate-money-saving-mom like me. :p
