I am losing my mojo...........

Don't go...

Work has really been consuming me lately... Before this, I was so happily drawing and animating but recently my jobscope has changed. I am now in charge of QC work for the animations by our partner studio from China. So most of the time I'd be typing out amendments rather than drawing. I have to scour through so many animation files and check for errors and send instructions on how to improve the shots. I am also checking several episodes all at once and it's kinda driving me NUTS!! My work is getting pretty depressing because the way our partner studio works is not like how we work. They're more used to doing tweening style of animation, whereas we're more keen to do our animation by frame-by-frame drawing. DRAWINGS ok. Not just moving the characters like puppet hamagadshitsssszzzzuuu....

Been trying hard to keep things together before I start to explode. T_T I love my work, but I hate having to become a bitch when it comes to writing amendment lists. Yes.. I have become that person where we used to talk bad about whenever we receive amendments from our client. Ha Ha...

Cravings Satisfied (partly)

So I managed to whip up that salmon sashimi from the recipe I got by majnouna. Bough salmon from Jusco and the soy sauce there. Butchered up some cucumbers and spring onion and whipped it up with sesame seed oil and sesame seeds. and VOILA~~~

It doesn't taste as good as I expected (I didn't get enough soy sauce ;_; ), but it did cure my cravings. Nyammsss!! Sad thing is, I still want more. Maybe end of this month I'll go to the Sushi King RM3 member's day. HUE HUE HUEEEEE!!!!

CRAVINGS!!!

omg.....I have been so swamped with work that I hardly have time for myself. URGH!!! All these work makes me hungry and for a sudden random reason I am craving for salmon sashimi...or sushi...my uncle said it's cheaper to just make it yourself rather than splurge at restaurants so I guess I could give it a try. It's not that hard I think. (HAHA iyolah)

Stumbled upon this on deviantart and it looks quite easy to do! Gonna try it once I got my hands on some salmon fillet. Jusco? Coldstorage? Isetan? Or just go to the wet market and ask? Hmm.. think I'll try Jusco's first and see how. Weehoohaa!

Image belongs to majnouna. You gotta check out her
"quick food, not fast food" folder. Awesomeness!

High Fever and Measles

So last Sunday we brought Shareese to watch the Despicable Me 2 movie at MBO Space U8. Turns out we managed to get a little "souvenir" from the outing. *sigh* Apparently during the movie, I noticed one mother brought along a sick child with her. Her son was in the stroller and on his skin was some light colored spots. I was not sure what those spots are but it looks like chicken pox. Only that those are spots that are recovering. Not the bulging, filled with liquid spots. I was worried but brushed off the feeling because I thought no mother in their right mind would bring out a child with contagious disease outside. I never have been soooooooooo wrong!!!

The day after his birthday, he was down with high fever for 3 days. After that, POP comes the small rashes. Apparently the malays calls it demam campak keladi? Measles? Not sure.. but it's red and it's making my baby uncomfortable.

Red spots on Shareese

The day the red spots popped up on Shareese's body, is also the day my sweet little 4 month old daughter was down with high fever. Poor baby!!! ; - ;   ...and yeah, a few days after that, she's also down with the measles. T_T  It's really tiring taking care of two sick babies for two weeks straight. My husband was down with the fever too around that time and myself almost got caught with the fever too. Luckily mine wasn't as bad as my babies or kids. Wuu.. such suffocating week. ; - ;

Even with fever, she can still smile :)

We brought them both to see the paed and she confirmed with us that these two has measles. Well actually I am not really sure if it's measles, she mentioned "campak" though. Measles is what ar? hahaha! On the bright side, Doc said that both my babies will develop lifetime immunity from the viral disease. Good thing they got it when they're small coz if they got it when they're in their adulthood, it'll take more time to recover and there'll be a lot more pain and uncomfortableness.

Doc just gave calamine lotion to help ease the itch and also ibuprofen for Shareese, and paracetamol for baby Rissa to help suppress the fever a bit. We also fed both Shareese and Ariessa with coconut drink. It helps to make the spots come out faster and reduce their temperature a bit. We also bathed them in this herbal water (masukkan daun semambu dalam air suam), and it also helps the spots to come out faster.

Right now, both of them have recovered from the fever and the spots on their body is slowly diminishing. Alhamdulillah. ^^
YAY BOLEH KELUAR JALAN-JALAN~~~~ 2 minggu dok rumah je jaga anak. bosan. *__*

Happy 3rd Birthday My Little Buster!

14th July marks Shareese's 3rd birthday. Happy Birthday my little buster!!! My husband and I planned to bring him to the movies for the first time. We had never brought him to the cinema before this because, well, he was too young at that time and he was also very sensitive towards loud noises. He doesn't like the loud sound made with speakers. If we turned on the volume over a certain level, he will panickly asked us to turn it down immediately. *w*;;;
Oh, and did I mention he's scared of the dark too? LOL~ apa punya anak jantan la ni hahahaa.

So anyways, that Sunday afternoon we bought tickets to watch Despicable Me 2 at Space U8's MBO.

Shareese and his lovely minion poster at MBO Space U8.

He loooooooovvvveessssss the minions A LOT and he has been looooooooooping the first Despicable Me movie for countless days on our home theatre. He could almost memorize some of the dialogues already. At first he was really excited to watch the movies. He urged us to go into the cinema faster even before we claimed our tickets hahaha such an excited boy. We thought it'd be one smooth sailing first time movie watching with our little guy, but it wasn't. T__T The minute they turned off the light he repeatedly asked me to make the lights turn back on again.
"Mama! Delap! Nak lampu! Nak lampu! Nak lampu! Mama! Mama! Mama!! Lampu!! Lampu!!"
Yes, he loves repeating himself. <O>
Then the movie trailer starts and the sound was blasting.
"Mama!!! MAMA!!! SLOWWWW!! SLOWWW!!! BISINGGG!!! Mama.. Mama!! MAMA!! MAMAAAAAA!!!!!"
Omg…… if he doesn't shut up and disturbs other people with his constant repetitive requests, we might as well need to ditch the movie watching session and burn our tickets. T__T

Luckily, when he saw the minions during the movie intro, he kinda settles down a bit. "MAMA! BANANA!!" pbfftt! Ok Shareese, yes it is banana. He watches it gleefully, but halfway through the movie he insisted on going back home though. (Yes, my son has short attention span. Like most kids.) But the overall experience of bringing him out for a movie for the first time is not as bad as I expected. Atleast he didn't asked me so much questions during the movie like the kid behind my seat did. Kekekeke… but that's an older kid. Maybe 6 or 7 years old. Curious little bugger.

I love bringing my kid to Space U8's MBO because most of the people watching the movies there are parents with kids so even if Shareese DID throw a dramatic appearance during the movie, I think most people there would understand and not judge us. Wuuu.. I'm kinda scared to bring him out for movies where majority of the movie watchers are unmarried people or couples  without kids who thinks parents who brought their babies and kids to movies are jerks. ; - ;
I said this coz I was one of those people. I got pissed off over this parent who brought a wailing baby to an action movie. whut…….  you dumb?
I won't bring mine to action movie. Maybe just go for those family time animation movies which he likes.

So far, success! Great first time experience with Shareese at the movies for the first time. PAPOI!! Here have a cake.

Happy Birthday Shareese!

Happy 4 month old little Rissa

Today marks Ariessa's 4 month old urhm..monthliversary? pbffttt apekah. How time really flies. Her cheeks are getting more and more fluffier these days. Alhamdulillah semakin membesar anak mama ni. YIIIII!!!! GERAMMMMM!!! I know it's not really a good thing to comapre your kids but I can't help but notice that Ariessa's social skills seem to develop much earlier than Shareese.  She can already smile at 2 weeks old, at 2 months old she can already have "conversations" with people and calling them with random AhAHH sounds. At 2.5 months I could hear her first laughter after we tickle her. Shareese started smiling after my confinement period ended and he hardly respond to our tickling and talking. He's quite fast at developing physical features though. Can already sit without support at 2 months. Ariessa seems a bit flimsy. Oh well, girls are more delicate (and talkative) by nature I assume. =)

Shareese is slowly learning to accept that he has a little sister. When Ariessa was first born, he mati-mati don't want to look at her. It feels like if he looks at her, he is acknowledging her existance hahaha. Funny little guy. And he calls her Arasso instead of Ariessa. =_= Smarty pants... Too much of Korean drama infused to him thanx to my mom. Now everytime I see him touching his little sister's head, patting her and kissing her, it melts my heart! Aww... And I really love how he calls his sister now. Isha! Isha punya! Sayang Isha!! Eh~ Mana Isha!! WHEEE COMELLL GILAAA OK!!!!! (lantak la, anak aku. semua pun comel!!)

Dear baby Rissa and abang Shareese, mama hopes both of you will grow up to be a gentle and kind hearted children, and most importantly jadi anak yang soleh dan solehah ye cayang uchuk achyammm~

Ariessa at 1 month till 4 months. Cheeks getting slightly thicker. XD

The Fasting Month is coming

My blog is collecting dust again, as usual. Well, it's not like there's physically any dust here and it's not like there's anyone who would look forward to read my ramblings anyway, right?
Hahahha emo pulak kau Che Ton.

The Holy Fasting Month of Ramadhan is coming, erm..tomorrow.. and Ariessa would turn 4 months the day after. Walawehhh how time flies! I am so grateful that I could still manage to fully breastfeed my little Ariessa, regardless of my failure attempts to do so for my eldest son, Shareese the cheeky little boy. I have to say, it's really not easy to continue breastfeeding and being a working mom at the same time. Kudos to all the working mothers who managed to do so for more than 6 months, even up to 2 years of age. How did you guys find the determination and patience to do so, I wonder...

I have been told that during the fasting month, your milk supply would tend to decrease a little bit due to dehydration, I assume. I was being extra paranoid that I wouldn't be able to provide enough supply for Ariessa during that time and I got panicked and find ways to stock up my milk supply so that when the time comes, my breastmilk would still be enough for her and that I wouldnt have to supplement. Alhamdulillah, with frequent pumping for a few days and consuming vitamins and galactagogues (I took alfalfa pills while occasionally taking fennel and fenugreek), I manage to boost up my milk supply. I usually could pump 4oz to 6oz per session, with total amount of 16oz to 20oz a day. Now, the most I could pump at one time is 10oz, and most of the time it would not be less than 5oz. (Unless I forgot to drink enough water) Total amount of milk I could pump in a day increased to 27oz ~ 29oz. Alhamdulillah, rezeki Ariessa.

I really hope I wouldn't have much problem to breastfeed her during the fasting month, insyaaAllah. It feels so good to see her growing big and know that her growth comes from your very own milk. :)

EBM stock as of 9th July 2013. !5 more 5oz bottles at mom's house
and around 8 more at office's freezer. Tumpang peti sejuk orang lain, because i can. :p

03 March 2013

It's already March!

It's 3rd March 2013 today. Part of me wished I would've given birth to my baby by now (considering the nice date) but I have a gut feeling she might be a tad late than her EDD. By now, I am not really sure which is my EDD exactly. If following my LMP, my EDD is supposed to be 9th March but the doc suggested I follow the fetal scan date which is 17th March 2013. If it's 17, might as well go pass 21st March so I can haz an Aries baby.

lolwtfbrain.

No updates on February? Why? *sigh* Was feeling really bad about myself throughout the whole month dealing with various stuff I rather not talk about because it''s menial and I think too much. Other than that, have been dealing with Shareese's flu and cough and mild fever. Plus, he's been very clingy lately. Almost like he's suffering from separation anxiety. =/   He can't notice that I am out of his sight. He will throw a fit.

"mama? MAMA? MAMAAA???!!!"

Other updates regarding myself:
  • Been having some cramps and intense pelvic pain lately. Inconsistent throbbing felt in the womb. I guess this is what they call Braxton Hicks contraction? Didn't manage to feel  Braxton Hicks during my first pregnancy. Just labor contractions during D-Day.
  • Back pain is getting worst. Could hardly sit up straight for a long period of time.
  • Super tired during the day. Extremely energetic (with trouble sleeping) during the night. O_O Thanx, haven't been able to go to work because of this.
  • Extremely cranky and getting more easily annoyed with stupid silly stuff.
  • 2-3 days of diorrhea, followed by a few days of constipation. wtfbody?
  • Craving for teh tarik... which made me gassy after consuming some. *ohgodwhy*
  • Did I mention I'm extremely tired and have trouble sleeping? T_T
Here's a picture of my dearest beloved son who is getting harder to put to nap during the day.

Choo Choo Train

It's public holiday today. Salam Maludirrasul!

We've taken the opportunity to bring our little one on his first train ride. (on the commuter) He's very excited and was very amazed by how the train works. At first he was more interested on the view outside but at the end, he keeps on pointing to various parts of the train, the blinking lights on the map above the door, the announcement in the train, the sound of the door opening and closing, and most of all he is very interested with the connectors between the two train coaches. My curious little boy. :)

Oh, on another note, the service and infrastructure of the latest commuter is pretty damn smooth (for me, compared to the last time I took a ride on the commuter). The coaches are plentiful, speed is much faster, seats provided are a lot more, and gotta love the new map on top of the doors that is updated in time as to where the next stop will be. Thumbs up for for improving the facilities. About time.

Improving His Appetite

I'm glad Shareese has recovered. He's starting to gain back his appetite, but the problem is he still refuses to eat what he used to eat (rice, pasta, soups, all the "healthy" stuff) and only wants those he used to have when he was fevering. (Cold stuff, packet milo drinks, cookies) Haihz.. Headache lor. What's worst is he refuses to drink his plain water. Normally he would consume atleast 500ml ~ 700ml of plain water (His full sippy-cup is 500ml), but now he's refusing to drink at all. He just wants his yoghurt drink.(Nestle Bliss) Aiyooo cannot la like this little boy. You need to drink plain water also. How to keep yourself hydrated???

Well, atleast his milk consumption is back to normal. Just having problems to get him back to his usual appetite on food.

Since we've stopped him on medications already, we've decided to start him back on his usual dose of vitamins. My mom would usually give him the gummy vitamin C, and we would feed him with multivitamins + Lysine. I used to give him Appeton with Lysine, but seems like it doesn't work as well as Nutrolplex Liquid With Iron And Lysine.

This multivitamin work wonders! In less than 3 days, we managed to get Shareese back to his usual appetite, and he gained back all the weight he lost when he was sick. I highly recommend this to moms with picky eaters. Hope it helps with your children as it helped with mine.

p/s: Shareese lost 2 ~ 3kg when he was fevering. Now he's back to his usual 13kg! Oh my... It's getting pretty hard to carry him around now. Mummy loves this!

One of the reason why I hate (seeing) doctors

Shareese was fevering for more than a week, and after starting on antibiotics on the fifth day, his condition doesn't seem to improve even on day eight. We brought him to the hospital (DEMC) upon recommendation from the clinic we usually go to do blood test and to be admitted. We're so relieved that it's not dengue fever, and also not HFMD. Just viral. The doctor at DEMC wanted to admit him to further check on him but unfortunately the pediatrics ward is full. So we brought him back home and do our best to alleviate the fever. He has been very very weak due to lack of food consumption. His lips are cracked and chapped. His eyes are watery. And he is becoming very manja. Always wants to be held and he cries of the slightest thing. (which is normal for a sick child)

On 10th February (the next day after the bloodtest), his temperature seems to become more normal and stays normal for longer time. But as of 11th February it shoots back up to 37.5°C. We got worried and brought him to another hospital (KPJ Specialist Center) to be checked upon again. At first we went to see the MO (medical officer), and it frustrates me as how little attention she paid to the reports we brought in of our child. We told her our son has been fevering for more than a week. She suggested we go get his blood tested. We told her we have already got his blood tested and we have handed the report along during registration. She didn't even bother checking the file on her table. Duh... after browsing through the report (baru nak browse through?), she said that there is no danger signs. Platlet counts normal, slightly higher white blood cells to fight the viral fever, blablabla... And then... and then.. AND THEN.. She got the nerves to ask us "So, what do you expect me to do?"

WTF? You're the doctor and you're asking us...? In a very condescending manner? So much for professionalism. We explained to her that we went to DEMC last night and the doctor suggested our son to be admitted for further inspection but the pediatric ward was full so they suggest us to bring to KPJ if fever still does not subside. She just said... "oh.. well judging from this bloodtest I don't think there's a need to be admitted. But anyways, I will refer your case to the specialist and see what they have to say about it"

Okay well thankyou very much... Shareese was being fussy all the time at the hospital and keep on telling us he wants to go back. The doc inserts a fever medicine for Shareese through his rectum to help alleviate the temperature a bit while waiting to see the specialist. While waiting to see the specialist, Shareese seems to be on his sunny side. Starts to ask for food (like cheese and cookies) and he doesn't seem all that sick anymore. I'm glad but then since we have to see the specialist, we might as well just wait for him to check up on our son first.

After waiting for 20 minutes or so, we finally get to see the specialist and turns out Shareese's tempature is already normal. Doc still examines him. Hand, Foot, throat and all... and he said Shareese shouldn't need to be admitted. He also don't really know what to do. (what...??) He ask us to show him the meds and antibiotics we've been giving him, and although the doctor at DEMC says the meds was already good enough for him, the specialist at KPJ insisted on us to change meds and prescribed a stronger antibiotics for him. We've been giving Shareese ibuprofen to alleviate his fever, and was pretty damn surprised that the specialist only prescribed paracetamol 250mg for him which is the simple panadol (?)... I thought ibuprofen works better for fever with ulcer and sore throat.

We spent like RM200+ (such money draining for us) for the visit to KPJ and guess what, we didn't even start Shareese on the medications prescribed by the specialist because the first antibiotic dose wasn't finished yet. To our surprise, Shareese seems to be a lot better the next day. I think it was about time for him to recover, but his temperature just suddenly shoots back up to counter? i dunno... hahaha.. but we're sooo soooo soooo glad that he is all better now. Alhamdulillah.

Now we just have to worry about increasing his appetite coz all he ever wants to eat is cookies and packet milo. >.<

Fevering and Ulcer

Shareese have been down with the fever for 5 days now, and we just bought him to another trip to the doctor this morning. The doctor said if the fever goes on for more than 2 days, it might be viral and we have to start him on antibiotics, so I guess it is viral then. Hubby and I was at the verge of getting sick a few days ago after his late grandmother passed away, we didn't expect it'd be contagious since we weren't really down with the flu, yet. Guess we were wrong.

I'm glad his temperature is slowly subsiding, from 39°C to 37.2°C after we have start him the antibiotics.

Shareese has also been complaining that his mouth hurts. We thought it was because his lips cracked due to him not taking enough fluid (more like REFUSING to take fluids, or food), but it turns out he's developing ulcers inside of his mouth. Poor thing.... Doc gave him a numbing spray to help alleviate the pain and to help bring back his appetite. He usually would go to 5-6 bottles of 180ml milk, and atleast a bowl of rice a day (with random snacking of biscuits and cakes and stuff). But now it's hard to get him to drink just 1 bottle of milk. He only seems interested in his cold Milo packet drinks. Doc said since he's not coughing and no signs of flu, she suggested we feed him cold stuff like ice cream, cold packet drinks, cold yoghurt, cold jelly, yoghurt drinks, and anything that's chilled. It helps to soothe the throbbing pain from the ulcers too.

Wow!
This is the first time I heard that doctors says ice cream is good for sick babies. XD Anyways, followed her advice and seems like he's atleast taking a bowl of nestum now. And lots of fluid from yoghurt drinks, and packet Milo. Atleast it'll give him some energy.

Little one, please recover soon!!!

Safe to say it's a...

I have been pretty much agitated with my unborn baby's gender eversince *that* doctor told me I was to be expecting a boy (when the first doctor has already confirmed to me that it's gonna be a girl), so I went to get a 3D scan on 6th January. Well, the main reason for me to get (such unnecessary) 3D+4D scan was not mainly due to the reason to confirmed the gender entirely but since we did it for Shareese, we've promised ourselves that all our babies will have 3D+4D scans aswell just to be fair. I don't want one day when I show them their baby sonographic images and videos, the other siblings might ask "Eh mama, where's MINE?".
Nope.
Don't want that.

This time around, the sonographer seems like she's not able to get as much clear images of my second baby compared to the sonographer that did Shareese's back in 2010. Most of the images seems to be... blurry? Indistinguishable? And we couldn't get a proper image of the baby's face because my little one is covering the face with ALL of her hands and feet. Kinda like this position...

(sorry my drawing skills a little rusty)

They could only get the face as clear as this.

And.. dumdumdum~~ From the scan, it shows that the sonographer is 95% sure that the baby's gonna be a girl, based on this picture of the baby's genitalia. She said there's a clitoris and labia, means for sure it's a girl. Plus there's no scrotum. So hopefully... : )

Second baby's 3D gender scan

This was Shareese's genitalia scan. You can clearly see the birdy.

I CAN HAZ A PAIR OF BABIES~ ❤

Lol.. I'm pretty worked up over the gender. Hope she'll be born healthy and bubbly! From the 3D detailed scan, the sonographer said all the organs are developing well and there's no sign of cleft lip. Also, the baby's size is OK (not too big, not too small), amniotic fluid is sufficient, baby's position is good and ready to go (not breech), and her placenta is in posterior position (normal). No gross structural abnormalities noted.

Alhamdulillah.

Hoping all goes well with this pregnancy. 9 more weeks to go!
